5 Undervalued Dynasty Players You Should Draft in 2025

Share the Post:

Training camp videos are dropping like TikToks and fantasy managers are reacting like it’s gospel. Someone runs a clean 3-yard curl? That guy’s a future WR1. We’re in peak hype season. But between the fluff, there are legitimate values hiding in plain sight.

Today, we’ve got 5 players flying up my redraft rankings, not because of one-hand catches in shorts, but because the data backs it up. Let’s get into.

1. Josh Downs, WR – Colts
🔮 Potential: Sneaky top-20 WR by next year

Indianapolis’ best wideout wasn’t Michael Pittman or Alec Pierce, it was the undersized slot weapon Josh Downs. 803 yards, 5 TDs, and a saucy 2.2 Yards Per Route Run make him a breakout candidate.

Even better? He was more efficient with Anthony Richardson than Gardner Minshew. And if you believe in YPRR, separation charts, or elite man vs. zone coverage splits. Downs is your guy.

He’s in the same advanced metrics convo as Amon-Ra, Puka, and AJ Brown. Yeah, seriously.

The Play: Buy before he plays a full season with a healthy Richardson. This is a post-hype sleeper with top-12 upside.

2. Cedric Tillman, WR – Browns

📉 Market Value: WR60 (June 2)
🤕 Risk Factor: Moderate (Judy breakout incoming)

Okay, this one’s a little gross. Tillman briefly took over as the Browns’ X receiver post-Amari Cooper, averaging 9 targets, 73 yards, and .6 TDs over 4.5 games before a concussion shelved him.

Then Jerry Jeudy happened. But if you can get Tillman late, that’s the exact type of cheap dart throw that wins you leagues when things hit.

The Play: Deep sleeper with top 30 potential if the Browns start to think about the future.

3. TreVeyon Henderson, RB – Patriots

💎 Rookie Gem: 2nd round pick, 7.1 YPC in 2024
🔥 Comparable: Poor man’s Alvin Kamara

He’s explosive, he’s smooth, he’s a Patriot. And he’s everything Rhamondre Stevenson isn’t – efficient.

Here is Rhamondre’s declining PFF grades. Big yikes.

New England drafted Henderson early and for good reason: he’s a dual-threat baller (1,000+ rush yards, 27 catches, elite pass blocker). Plus, Josh McDaniels is back, the same coach who once benched Rhamondre for Damien freaking Harris.

The Play: RBs age like milk. Bet on the fresh legs and passing-down work early.

4. Rachaad White, RB – Buccaneers

⏳ Contract Year: Value trap or sneaky flex?

This brand was once funded by Rachaad White slander. But even with Bucky Irving cooking, Rachaad posted RB18 numbers (Weeks 10–17). He’s the last man standing in the Tampa pass game (Evans and Godwin were both hurt), and he might just be this year’s Jaylen Warren.

The Play: Don’t overpay. But as a zero RB target, take the pass-catching PPR floor.

5. Matthew Golden, WR – Packers

🧠 Dynasty IQ Test: Overhyped or undervalued?

Green Bay’s 3rd-round rookie ran a 4.29 40-yard dash and has the skillset no one else on that WR depth chart has — elite vertical and horizontal juice. The Packers don’t throw often, but when they do, they go deep. Enter Golden.

He’s the type of prospect who might not have dominated in college, but fits the perfect archetype for a team with a rising QB in Jordan Love (who ranks 4th in explosive passing plays, by the way).

The Play: If you can snag him as your WR3 or while the Jaden Reed hype dominates camp headlines, buy. This is a legit breakout candidate.
